Is this a genuine original part?
Yes, this kit contains genuine Quicksilver Premium Gear Lube and a Quicksilver-branded pump, ensuring the highest level of protection for your Mercury or Mariner outboard.
How do I know if it is compatible?
This kit is specifically designed for all outboards below 75HP. If your original engine manual specifies SAE 80W-90 or SAE 90 "Premium" gear lube, this is the correct kit. It includes adapters for both US and Metric drain ports.
Why do I need a pump kit instead of just the bottle?
Marine gear units must be filled from the bottom up to ensure air is pushed out. Attempting to fill from the top vent usually results in air pockets and insufficient lubrication. This pump makes a mess-free, bottom-up fill simple and professional.
